RoyalTribe

A new alliance has arose amongst us all. We are calling it RoyalTribe, consisting of Kings & Queens. Our sole purpose here is to reclaim our throne which is the World. It goes beyond the artists whom currently are King Cosby (founder), King Africa (co-founder / formerly know as Canny One) & King Gingy. But for the realization that this world is Ours and we have been suppressed into realizing that and this is our time to make the right change, together.

For far too long, the power has been dictated to the wrong people and it is up to all of us to reclaim and distribute it back to the people, the well deserving. Whether you’re a dancer, singer, student, painter, activist or anyone who is towards progression and positive change then you fit in perfectly. Nobody can help everybody, but everybody can help someone.

This is a family-hood, you can be a complete stranger but if you support and are a part of the RoyalTribe movement, you are family. Its time for unity, step forward and let’s reclaim our throne in all aspects.

Becoming a part of us, RoyalTribe is not like any other movement out there. Firstly, you can fall under one of these two categories. You could either be a supporter of our movement and get the word out or begin your journey into the RoyalTribe family tree as a Prince (male) or Princess (female) and when have proven yourself worthy, you would then be promoted into either a King or Queen by the current Kings and Queens.

Its time for a change.

Announcement

Dear fans,

For the past few months I’ve been in deep contemplation about my music career. Through Gods will I’ve been able to be respected as a professional artist who is growing his international fanbase. Most of the songs I make are “upbeat, filled with energy, clever wordplay and bars” I quote. For all who have grown with me on my journey to being an international artist have seen that I don’t like complacency and am continuously growing. The thing is I feel that you DESERVE way more from me as an artist because you have continuously shown your support, going to my shows, listening & watching radio/tv interviews, requesting my songs at clubs from africa all the way to america and u.k and simply listening to my music. I want you to know I’m forever grateful for your love and support. As we know I’ve became professional under the artist name C.o.B which is who I am, my thoughts and ideas. But I’ve spared you the full story of my life which I don’t think is fair. You’ve only been shown the pessimistic good side of my life and experiences I have been willing to show you but I feel we have grown together and it’s only right you know the whole story of my life even if you’re just getting to know my music. This is not the death of C.o.B but more of the resigning, I’m sure he’ll resurface on songs but I just don’t know which or when, but we both will when he does. This is an exciting milestone and risk I’ve decided to take on my career as a conscious rapper. I have decided to change my artist name accordingly to Cosby which is my real name. I had went through a lot of thought about my name change but it was only recently I had an epiphany and realized, if I’m going to be 100% real with you as my fans, it’s only suitable that I use my real name as well. I’m proud of this decision I’ve decided to take and I can’t wait for you guys to hear what I’ve been working on for the past two years behind the vail just to get to a good level of mastery and am ready to share my world with you with this new material I’ve now decided to start getting recorded and released.

Malawi music industry

Being in the music industry in Malawi I’ve noticed quite a few things. Like there’s so many good ass musician here, so much talent but its not being appreciated.

Sincerely Yours,
Cosby

Dear Fans

First and foremost I’d like to apologize for my absence. Both on this blog and in the industry. With that being said, I’ve been able to acquire a deeper thinking and improvement in my professionalism which will be reflected in my music due to this absence. I’ve kept you waiting for quite some time for new music but I’d like to reassure you that there hasn’t been a single day I haven’t been working to constantly advance in my arts fluency and creating new innovative ways to entertain but at the same time, enlighten you.

While I was gone, my music video Zokoma collaborated alongside Boy Magic & Canny One and directed by Ron Cz & Vj Ice has reached Channel-O. This is a great accomplishment for my fellow colleagues but not an optimal achievement for I’m taking this as nearly another stepping stone in my career. For my supporters who are outside of Africa and spread over this beautiful green Earth of ours, Channel-O is the leading music video channel in all of Africa. With that being said, I would like to give thanks to Channel-O for taking the liberty of showing Zokoma to all of Africa for us. That also marks me as the youngest Malawian artist to ever be on a national music video channel at nineteen years old.

This week, I’ll also be releasing a new single with my colleague Canny-One aka Africa called “Bout That Life” so keep a close eye out. I promise you, it won’t disappoint. Feel free to give feedback on here or twitter.

Sincerely Yours,
Cosby

Chanco Performance

This weekend that’s just passed, I was asked to go perform at Zomba, Chanco. From people who’ve been there apparently the crowd is very huge but usually chaotic, unresponsive to a performance and is pretty much an artists worst nightmare. After hearing this I was more than excited because to me this was merely a challenge to see how well I could conduct a show with a bad crowd. To my surprise, I’ve grown quite the fanbase there and a lot of people who showed up know about my music. Around 11pm saturday night, I get on stage and start my set and I was so astonished by how AMAZING the crowd was! People on the second and first level were on there feet having a great time and through my entire set, I got nothing but love from them to the point I had to come back for an encore!

I’d just like to say Thank You to everybody who was there this weekend at Chanco and who showed nothing but love & support. I’ll definitely be coming back. A big thank you to one of the sponsors Airtel, thanks for giving me everything I needed to also have a good time.

Monday

Good morning,

The week has begun once again and it’s mildly warm inside but ironically chilly outside. In a way that’s how we all are, when we’re in our comfort zone (inside) we feel no reason to leave it but when we’re outside our comfort zone, we are faced with unpleasant conditions. But anything worth having will not be given to you for free. How are you going to spend your new set of seven days?
