Cosby, once known as C.o.B was born malawian but has been raised up in the United States of America. As a young child he was introduced to the beauty of music through his father who is also a very huge music fan. Growing up he used to write songs starting at a young age age and has been making music for roughly 9 years now. It was recently a few years back that he finally pursued his ambition of making music professionally as a recording artist and although there have been many trials and tribulations in his career, he has been able to prevail.
When he came back to Africa, Malawi he was scouted by Malawi’s well known artist Yesaya (who’s had his music on international music channels such as Channel-O) at one of his first performances at Southend. Cosby became Yesaya’s entourage who taught him the in’s and out of the professional industry. Even though he did not sign with his then label Near Perfection, he was motivated to make a name for himself first as to be known as a solo artist with a unique blend of his personal style he’s created which cannot be imitated being that he is a perfectionist with his work. Cosby does not want to only change his personal financial state or his families, nor his cities but the world, it has been once by the greats such as Snoop Lion (unity amongst rivalry artists in Africa in his new project) or JayZ helping the election of the first black president. He knows he was made to do it as well.
At the moment he is working on a Mixtape which he intends on releasing early 2014. He has been ranked number 1 on Reverbnation multiple times (www.reverbnation.com/cobmusic), and his music has been played in shopping malls, few radio stations and clubs. He has been in two music video so far “The Letter” and “Zokoma” which were both worked on by main video producers Ron Cz, Vj Ice who have worked with the top artists in Malawi as well. He wants to build a stronger fan base in Africa and America itself. As he is African by blood and American by heart & culture. His music has been heard from United States, United Kingdom, Africa, Canada & even Netherlands but he wants to increase his market and current fanbase. He never stops working countless hours in multiple studios if not writing or constructing new plans to get the credit he deserves.
ForeverFuture “Live Your Future, In The Present” being the slogan is the brand which has turned into a movement which was started late 2012 by him. Its It’s being represented by a lot of people who support his music and including artist’s such as Bagpac, BoyMagic & CannyOne to say a few, and not forgetting all his loyal fans from all over the world he is constantly accumulating. Cosby was also the United States Ambassador for Music United Africa.
